Description
This original painting was inspired by moments of transition—the quiet spaces between certainty and change. It was part of Breda’s solo exhibition ‘Sticks, Stones and Bones’ at the Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda.
It was created through an intuitive, mindful process, it explores the beauty of the unknown and the subtle connections between nature, humanity, and emotion.
Working with flowing watercolour, acrylic inks, and layered textures, the composition emerged organically rather than through predetermined design. Natural forms observed while walking and gathering in the landscape influenced the colours, marks, and intricate details, allowing unexpected imagery to surface. The resulting work invites personal interpretation, revealing forms that may evoke microscopic life, botanical structures, human presence, or imagined landscapes.
Rich in movement, texture, and delicate detail, each painting is entirely unique, capturing a fleeting moment that can never be repeated. Balancing abstraction with organic form, the work rewards close observation, revealing new discoveries over time.

The painting is created using acrylic inks, watercolour, pencils on Fabriano paper and is mounted on 3mm board.
A certificate of authenticity is attached to the back of each painting. It includes the title, materials used, year and is signed by the artist.
The painting is unframed. It is recommended upon receiving the painting that you bring it to a professional framer and discuss having it float mounted with a 3.5cm space around it, within your frame of choice. A contemporary simple oak frame compliments the earthy colours of the painting.
It also looks great with a 5cm surround mount & framed with simple frame with clean lines.
As with all artwork, it is advisable to avoid hanging it in direct sunlight.
There is a delivery fee of €10 for registered post within Ireland and the EU. Delivery costs for other destinations will be priced on an individual basis.
