Today marked a momentous day, where 2 years of planning, imagining and creating culminated in the installtion of 'The Well of Wisdom' and 'Boann, Goddess of the Boyne' at Southgate.

Drogheda Tidy Towns commissioned the two landmark sculptures, to serve as a symbolic gateway to Southgate, Drogheda, East Meath and the Boyne Valley region. 

The large metal spiral was hoisted into the air and skillfully rotated into place, to form a connection with the vibrant blue spiral, representing the Boyne river.

This final stage will involve planting grasses, flowers and bulbs in the gravel area surrounding the sculptures.
